Chief accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and management of the Company’s full accounting in accordance with the Accounting Act;
  • Ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of tax settlements in the area of CIT, VAT, WHT, excise duty, etc.;
  • Supervision of payroll calculation;
  • Preparation of annual financial statements and monthly management reports;
  • Supervision of the timely preparation of transfer pricing documentation;
  • Cooperation with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other external institutions/offices;
  • Initiative in the optimization and automation of accounting processes;
  • Monitoring changes in regulations and their implementation;
  • Coordination and supervision of the work of a small accounting department;
  • Cooperation with the Finance Director.

Requirements:

  • Higher education in a relevant field;
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Chief Accountant in a large trading company with an annual turnover of at least 5 million euros;
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data;
  • Very good practical knowledge of tax law and the Polish Accounting Act;
  • Ability to identify problems, seek solutions, and apply legal regulations practically;
  • Knowledge of warehouse management principles;
  • Knowledge of procedures for settling international trade transactions;
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and tax declarations;
  • Fluent in Russian, both spoken and written;
  • Good communication skills, ability to delegate tasks, focus on the development of the subordinate team;
  • Accuracy, diligence, and timeliness;
  • Legal residence in the European Union with the right to work in Poland;
  • Knowledge of the Comarch Optima program is desirable;
  • Knowledge of payroll calculation principles is desirable.
